    On the weekend, I ran my second marathon - the 2nd Moonlight on the Falls - 26.2 miles, 2,700 feet of elevation, overnight.  I don't train marathons (I do run a half a month, and I otherwise run twice a week), but love the mental challenge of completing.  This year I bettered my time by 5 minutes, to claim 5:10:33 - just under 12 minute pace on average - 37th overall, and 3rd in my age class.

    Runners in the group - have you ever run a marathon, and what was your experience?

    It did make me think of looking up sports-related standards (if I recall we had a gentleman from FIFA UK presenting at our virtual conference in 2021), and found these couple of gems:
