I'm in Geneva at the moment working on aviation standards for airline retailing - in simple terms, the long road to "Amazonization" of airline travel, with more dynamic and personalized pricing, a more streamlined process for consumer offers based on attributes (rather than low price and schedule).  It's a global business, and it can only work at scale for 3.5 billion air travelers globally per year with industry standards.

It's a great reminder to me of how brilliant SES is for connection - and a reminder of why my company keeps buying an organizational membership - that I took the chance to meet with @Marianna Kramarikova from IEC, also based in Geneva, to share standards talk, get to know each other better, and share experience and knowledge.  Our network in SES - your network - is our strength, and leveraging it globally makes for so many opportunities.  Where two or more standards professionals gather together - wherever in the world - that's when the real magic happens.

I'd ask every one of you - if you have a standards colleague in a different country to yourself - spread the news about SES and help us all learn and grow.  True Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, starts with all of us, and that takes outreach.

For the runners in the group, I also managed 5 miles in view of the Alps and the Jura mountains this morning.  A great start to the day.

Looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible in Portland, OR., for more magic.
